Testudo Formation-Spiritual War Tactics

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints” (Ephesians 6: 10-18).

After losing custody of my children for praying these verses with them (see www.SayNoToPAS.com), I realized that satan is scare of us Christians wearing our spiritual armor, and uniting our shields with other Christians to advance against the rulers,  authorities, cosmic powers, and spiritual forces of evil. The Apostle Paul used the Roman armor as an analogy of the spiritual armor we must wear every day. Following this analogy, Roman warriors conquered the known world of their days by using a tactic that was the predecessor of the modern tanks.  As they were advancing against enemy lines, they would form an almost impenetrable protective armor by joining their shields, a formation known as the testudo formation.

With this formation, the Roman soldiers would advance against their enemies. Since the soldiers in the front line would get tired by receiving most of the beating from the battle, soldiers would alternate being at front.  Injured or tired soldiers would move back to a protective line, as more rested soldiers would advanced to the front, so the formation would have the most rested soldiers always leading the charge. That’s what we must do to retake America for God again. We must lock our shields and advance against the rulers, authorities, cosmic powers and spiritual forces of evil trying to destroy America, and the world.  Remember this, what we do in life will echo in eternity!
