Homeschooling

We should let the free market place based on results determine the education of our children.   Based on evidence, we can not deny that homeschooling is the best choice for our children, and our society.  Not only makes sense from an academic point of view, but from a social point of view by strengthening the natural family (i.e. the union of a man, and a woman to raise good children).  I hope DeVos, and President Trump consider giving funds to promote home schools.  It would be the most cost effective way to improve education in America.  We spend anywhere from 11,000 to 20,000/student in public schools.  Why don’t we give this money to families, so one of the parents can stay at home and homeschool the children?

From personal experience, I can say that homeschooling is absolutely amazing. The myth that children do not socialize with other kids is completely false.  Homeschoolers form groups and socialize with other children on a regular basis.  Homeschooled children do better academically on average than public schooled children:  “In reading, the average homeschooler scored at the 89th percentile; language, 84th percentile; math, 84th percentile; science, 86th percentile; and social studies, 84th percentile. In the core studies (reading, language and math), the average homeschooler scored at the 88th percentile.” http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/aug/30/home-schooling-outstanding-results-national-tests/

At a minimum, homeschoolers should receive tax breaks/incentives to promote better education and the natural family.
